The STR3EM Team is a product development firm with a published USPTO patent application with 39 claims. We are currently offering a continuation application prepared for an exclusive licensor with an extended 60 claims (as seen below in the second window). This IP covers PDMAS as found in the STR3EM application development and could service existing systems and other ecosystems currently under development. STR3EM Continuation Patent Application
The STR3EM Ecosystem is powered by PDMAS, a specification which allow users to access digital products across an unlimited array of presentation points and devices. By using this feature, content providers can easily sync rights to other presentation points using standard server components and guarantee maximum user satisfaction. By observing the features provided in the STR3EM Windows application, licensees of PDMAS can always find a working reference of features defined in our official specification. The STR3EM authoring tool creates the following file formats:
- .3em – a professional H.264 STR3EM file which can offer any resolution from 480p to 4K max 192Mbps.
- .3ex – same as .3em but only playable on licensed hardware devices.
- .3ev – a professional VC-1 STR3EM file which can offer resolutions from up to 720p.
- .3ea – a professional STR3EM Audio file which can offer resolutions up to 24-bit 192Khz.
- .st3 – a STR3EM Standard file that can offer a mix of local and remote media assets comprising WMV, WMA, MP4, MOV, WAV, and MP3. Resolution limits are 480p for video and 16-bit for audio.
- .3ed – same as .st3 but only playable on licensed hardware devices.
- .3ew – a STR3EM file in “Browser Only” mode which is synced to a server-side presentation in Flash or Silverlight.
- .wiki – a STR3EM Standard file with a web page from Wikipedia.org linked to the STR3EM Browser.
The STR3EM Ecosystem sync parameters:
By syncing the following parameters, access rights can be established across a plurality of presentation points within our licensed network of service providers. Each licensed application delivering content as part of the ecosystem must be capable of storing and sending said parameters to a server sync point designated for data sharing with other apparatuses also connected to the network.
