STR3EM File Extension – .3em

Advantage: H.264 offers high levels in HD playback performance.

Content providers can deliver any unlimited configuration of H.264 up to 192Mbps. Content providers are responsible for making consumer delivery decisions.

We have successfully tested 50GB .3em files authored from Blu-ray M2TS sources on $399 consumer grade Windows 7 PCs powered with a NVIDIA CUDA GPU.

Subtitles are not available for playback from MKV and M2TS source files and should be omitted at this time.

Audio encoding:

AC3 (Required standard option 1)

DTS (Required standard option 2)

Multi-language tracks in M2TS are compatible.

STR3EM File Extension – .3ev

Codec: VC-1

Accepted Container: WMV

Any standard resolutions up to a maximum of 1280×720, 2-pass VBR only (CBR will not work with STR3EM Pro), average bitrate up to 10Mbps and peak bitrate up to 20Mbps.

Audio encoding: up to 5.1 WMA Professional at any bitrate.

1080p WMV content is not advised for STR3EM Pro due to lack of performance when compared to H.264. Please see our .3em file format above for higher level video delivery.
